5 tips to help you do something when you don’t feel like it

No matter how motivated and organized you are at home or work, there are times when you don't feel like doing something at a given moment. You have zero inspiration or no physical energy to start a chore/project/job.

We all go through these moments and we all outcome them with our personalized tactics. However, it never hurts to learn five new tips to help you get things done when you don't feel like it at all.

  1. Try to envision the positive outcome of your possible completed action. Imagine how you'd feel after you have done what is waiting for you and the weight taken from your shoulders. Also, how would much better your day and the following days would be after you finish your chores?

  1. Get up and do one little thing if the project is big, or start doing a single task for ony five minutes. That's what you have to commit to, but chances are you will continue a little bit more and maybe even get done with the whole thing.

  1. If what you have to do takes more than a couple of hours, sit down and write a plan involving what you will need to complete your task/project successfully. Then list all the steps you need to take and estimate how much it would take you to complete the list. In the end, go through the list one thing at a time, until you cross off all items.

  1. Think about what you'd rather do now instead of what you need to do. Choose what you fancy more and promise yourself to do it right after you're done with the chores/project.

  1. This tip is my favorite tip for any situation like this. If there's nothing and no one to motivate you enough to complete your task/chores/project, get over it and choose to do something else instead. The productive procrastination is better than flat procrastination, so settle with doing something else rather than nothing at all.
